SCHOOL AGE IMPLEMENTION TEAM SOAR’s School-Age Implementation Team (SAIT) is a group of professionals who helped develop and now oversee the implementation of the Action Agenda for School-Age Children & Youth. This team:

ACTIVE PARTNERS Big Brothers Big Sisters, Camp Fire USA, Casey Family Programs, City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services, City of Redmond Parks & Recreation, City of Seattle Parks & Recreation, City of Shoreline, Community Day School Association, Community Schools Collaboration, East African Community Services, Eastside Pathways, Forum for Youth Investment, Kids Co, King County Food & Fitness Initiative, King County Organizing Program, League of Education Voters, Make College Real, Metrocenter YMCA, Neighborhood House, Penny Harvest, Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, School’s Out Washington, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras, Service Learning Seattle, Social Venture Kids, Southwest Youth & Family Services, UW Center for Leadership in Athletics, WSU Strengthening Families Program, Youth Suicide Prevention Program ACTION TEAMS Action Teams transform Action Agenda goals into actions across the county. Action Team strategies range from raising public awareness to community-based projects to impacting policy changes. Action Team members represent organizations serving children and youth, businesses, grant makers, schools, governments and faith-based groups countywide, plus parents and community leaders. Groups meet monthly at locations around King County. All teams are open to new members.
KING COUNTY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT NETWORK (Website) This group supports professional development, networking and resource-sharing among youth development staff. The group created, maintains and grows the King County Youth Development Network, an online and in-person resource-sharing space for youth development staff. The group coordinates monthly networking meetings and continuously looks for ways to improve and grow the network and support for youth development workers in King County.
Focuses on defining and supporting school-community collaboration; collects and shares information on local and national promising practices, needs and outcomes; and convenes representatives from different districts to share information and resources.
Sponsors Multicultural Youth Leadership (MYL) curriculum training; the development of a training cohort to support trainings and organizations using the curriculum; and the expansion of the content of this curriculum. This team also works to convene and support local anti-oppression and cultural competency youth program staff.
