SOAR is a community coalition dedicated to building partnerships that support the healthy development and success of children, youth and families in King County. SOAR connects, convenes and catalyzes communities around common goals and strategies and strives to create alignment between systems, sectors, organizations, providers and practice.

SOAR is governed by stakeholders and leaders from local organizations, government, businesses and community coalitions. SOAR works to achieve its goals by supporting community-based partnerships and goal-specific Action Teams. SOAR's work is guided by two community-generated documents:

If you are an organization, parent, youth, business, local government, funder, coalition or other stakeholder working for the success of kids from birth to age eighteen, you are part of this vision and we encourage you to join in this exciting partnership.

Housed at United Way of King County, SOAR is funded by four partners: United Way of King County, the City of Seattle Human Services Department, the King County Children and Family Commission, and the King County Developmental Disabilities Board.
